Laptops are getting smaller and smaller aren’t they? And they aren’t called simply laptops anymore but rather “lifestyle PC”, like this latest one from Sony Vaio. It is so unbelievable small, it can fit into your jacket pocket.
The laptop is only about 1.41 lb. and runs on Vista operating system. And for its size, this machine is pretty powerful as it can support 3G or wireless systems.
Now, the problem with tiny laptop’s like this is that there isn’t enough room for typing or ones fingers may crunch up. But apparently, the keyboard is big enough, and the 8 inches screen isn’t all that bad for the vision either.
This tiny laptop, from Viao’s P-series may be ordered online. Priced at $900, the gadget will be in stores later and will come in a selection of colors — black, white, green and red.
The computer features the following:
- Featuring a convenient, one-button quick-boot option, the P offers fast access to the web, email, photos and more. Dive directly into the fun stuff via Instant Mode using a version of Sony’s own xross media bar™, the same intuitive system found on the PLAYSTATION®3 and select BRAVIA® HDTVs.
- Your friends, your news, and your entertainment when you need it. The P lets you browse the web in more places with built-in, Verizon 3G broadband connectivity5.
Benefits of built-in wireless access: - * No wireless card needed
* Added durability
* Constant connection
* Easy management of WAN, 802.11n wireless LAN4 and Bluetooth® connections7 - Looking for that new Thai restaurant your friends were talking about? The P delivers real-time GPS functionality, including the maps. And you don’t even need an internet connection. Just step outside and type in where you want to go. You’ll get turn-by-turn directions displayed right on the map. It’s that simple.
