Released yesterday, this latest BluRay player from Samsung definitely stands out in plenty of ways.

The unit doesn’t look like any player. It comes with metal brackets for mounting to the wall, or it can sit prettily on a desktop like a pedestal. Not only does it look awesome, the player packs serious features too, including streaming access for Pandora and Netflix.

The unit is sold at $500.

  • WiFi ready (wireless adapter included)
    Go wireless with the BD-P4600. Wirelessly connect to the latest Blu-ray features. Simply connect the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi dongle to one of the two USB 2.0 ports or using the traditional wired Ethernet connection.
  • BD profile 2.0 (BD Live)
    Get ready for the ultimate interactive film experience. The SAMSUNG BD-P4600 has lets you take full advantage of interactive features like downloadable video content, ringtones, games and more. Download additional content from the internet or even chat with friends when watching the same movie.

  • Netflix/Pandora streaming
    Are you a Netflix unlimited member? Instantly watch from a selection of over 12,000 (and growing) movies and TV episodes. Plus you can rock out to your favorite tunes. The BD-P4600 lets you stream your favorite music with the Pandora service. Netflix unlimited members can watch as much as they want- anytime they want.
  • HDMI
    Experience billions of colors, high definition audio and improved frame rates even at full 1080p resolution. HDMI 1.3 is a video cable format that delivers it all from your Samsung Blu-ray player without any loss of quality. Since you only need one HDMI cable, there’s no ugly mess of tangled-up wires. So your set-up is as clean-looking as the picture.
  • DivX SD/HD
    With DivX playback up to HD 1080p, you can insert DVDs and CDs that have standard and high definition DivX movies downloaded from your computer and watch them on your TV.
