Dell’s Studio One 19 PC Touchscreen Desktop
Dell is marketing this latest touchscreen desktop as a Kitchen PC. I don’t know how many people actually need one, especially with the wide options of laptops available in the market today. But if you’re one of those who actually prefer a desktop….for the kitchen, at that…then you can probably look into this.
According to John New, Dell’s Marketing Executive, the Studio One 19 PC is for home users who prefer a multi-media machine where one can “watch HD content, play with your photos, surf the internet or do your taxes on a machine that is full featured”.
This desktop is already made available in Japan and should hit US retail stores in the coming weeks.
The Studio One 19 comes with the following features:
- a choice between Intel’s Celeron, Dual Core Celeron, Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad Core processors.
- a choice between Nvidia’s GeForce 9200 or 9400 graphics.
- a choice between a touchscreen and a non-touchscreen model
- 4GB of memory.
- 750 GB of hard disk drive
- six USB ports
- web cam
- an option for Blu-ray disc player
The design includes fabric frames with color choices like black, red, pink and blue.
Priced at around $700 to $800.
