Well, aren’t these pretty!

These are flat cables from LaCie and it reminds me of a time when kids used to wear colored laces back in the 80’s. The flat cables are $10 each and you can purchase these here.

  • With the new LaCie Flat Cables designed by item, it’s easy to find the interface you need. Our new range includes seven different interfaces: USB A to B; USB A to Mini B; USB A male to A female; FireWire 400 to FireWire 400; FireWire 400 to FireWire 800; FireWire 800 to FireWire 800; and eSATA to eSATA. Each cable is perfect for connecting of your external devices, such as hard drives, CD/DVD writers, printers, cameras, and cell phones. The LaCie Flat Cables come in different colors according to their interfaces, and a fun, whimsical design by item, a French design firm, ensures that they’ll make a statement on your desktop. Since the cables are flat, they are easy to coil and to carry—you’ll never have to deal with another tangle of wires behind your desk or in your laptop bag! Each cable comes with 24 adhesive labels, so you can customize your cables and always know which device is plugged in.

The Cutest USB Hub

af6e_usb_man_hub

I have been meaning to get myself a USB hub for Christmas. This is really on my wishlist but the ones I’ve been looking at in stores looks nothing as fun and as cute as this one.

This USB Man 4-port Hub, perhaps the cutest four ported hub ever, comes with an AC power adaptor in each connecter. When the hub is connected, that little green light indicator, likes up like a heart (See? It’s so cute!).

Unlike other USB hubs I’ve seen too, this one is pretty flat and won’t be obtrusive on my work desk…which makes it all the more perfect! This little guy actually reminds me of a Joe Bender. Only, I think I’m loving USB Man a lot more.

USB Man 4-port Hub Features:

* His hands and feet are USB ports, and his heart lights up to let you know he’s powered on.
* USB 2.0
* Includes: USB Man and AC adaptor
* Cord length: 45″
* Hub Dimensions: 4.5″ x 4″ x 1.75″

LCD Screen Digital Microscope

This little nifty gadget caught my eye and I can’t stop thinking how cool it would be to have one. Certainly a great thing for kids to experiment with, and it could be pretty darn useful around the workshop.

The best part is of course the LCD screen - a 3.5″ color. The screen itself has an SD card slot for taking pictures of what you are viewing and you can even connect it up to a PC via USB cable to transfer images.

Its got a 6 position color filer and can view from 40 to 400 Power - up to 1600 Power with Digital Zoom.

Thats pretty incredible.

It runs for $300 and the manufacturers page is HERE

USB Fiber Optic Christmas Tree

usb_xmas_tree.jpg

Want a little Christmas cheer by your home or office PC? Theres plenty of options available. This particular tree is one of the better ones. Sporting animated fiber optics and a nice little star on top.

Its fully USB powered and requires no drivers. Heck, what exactly you would need a driver for - except maybe to change the lights rotation speed is beyond me.

At any rate this is my personal favorite USB Tree and its only $17.00
