iLuv Shuffle Cases

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Shuffle iLuv

For owners of the latest iPod Shuffle from Apple who are dissatisfied with its neutral gray colors (in light and dark gray), here’s a case that’s supposed to add color to your musical device.

The iLuv isn’t an official Apple product release, but it is quite a good alternative. It comes in two types — the iCC12 and iCC14.

The iCC12 is made of silicone and comes in four lovely colors of pink, blue, white, and black. While the iCC14 is made of a hard case in clear and tinted black shades. It would have been greater if there are more colorful options but I guess this should do, right?

At the back of these cases is a cutout area for an easy access to the shuffle’s clip.

The cases come at about $12.99 each and is available at iLuv.

Apple’s New iPod Shuffle

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Apple_iPod_shuffle

It’s the first mp3 player that talks to you!

With it’s Voice Over feature, the shuffle will tell you what song is currently playing and who the artist is. It comes pretty handy when you’ve got over a thousand songs on your iPod and you keep forgetting pertinent information like the title and artist. This is a feature that’s quite useful to someone like me because forgetting details happens to me all the time.

Aside from the voice over, the new shuffle is 1.8″ tall x 0.3″ thin. It promises to be of easier use, but I don’t know…I could easily lose something like this. Good thing it comes with a clip you can fasten.

The new iPod shuffle also has 4 GB capacity which can incorporate 1000 songs.

Learn more about the new iPod shuffle via the Apple Store.

Zumreed Rain Drop iPod Bathroom Speaker

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

zumreed_lg

How cute are these things? No idea what it is, huh? It looks like a dehumidifier. Or a house lamp. But you know what, these are actually iPod speakers shaped like raindrops.

Each set comes with a waterproof interior as well as waterproof mp3 connector…which means, this speaker may be placed in the bathroom and it won’t mattre because it is waterproof. Volume controls, play and pause buttons are found and adjusted on the external surface, it just doesn’t seem to obvious from this design.

The gadget comes in four colors (bright pink is not in picture).

Specifications: operates for 10 hours on four AA batteries, measures 130 x 190 mm (5.1 x 7.5 in.), with an internal compartment measuring 165 x 225 x 165 mm (6.5 x 8.8 in.). Weighs 480g.

Each speaker costs about $64.99

TuneLight MP3 Speaker System

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

Frankly, I’m not too thrilled about iPod docks that sit there on my table, in this massive shape or form and does nothing else for me but play music. Most docks I find are a waste of space, when I know that there could be more use for it. I think Gracious Home has heard my grumbling because I love their MP3 Speaker system. It is so efficient.

ipodlampsp-300x225

And by efficient, I mean, the dock is a multitasker that doubles as desk organizer tray to put pens, paperclips and other stuff in. It is also a desk lamp. Isn’t this amazing?

Features:

*Compatible with any iPod or MP3 player
*Connects to the headphone jack
*Energy-efficient 20W Halogen bulb included
*2 pencil/pen holders and 2
organizer trays

This iPod dock costs an affordable $19.99.

Music Stick MP3 Player With LCD Display

Monday, November 5th, 2007

pic_wp.jpg
The shape of this very low priced mp3 player is one of its best features, I could see this clipped in a shirt pocket, purse, collar, short sleeve?

Very lightweight, with animated LCD -(although black and white)… some of the neat extras are an E-book reader with long text recording function, able to copy the unread text to hard disk for the next reading.

Built in Microphone with voice recording features, keep this in your shirt pocket or on your person and you could secretly record a whole days worth of sound,

A phone book feature lets you store and retrieve phone numbers ( or any numbers I suppose ) viewable on the lcd screen.

It has all the playback features you’d expect a mp3 player to have - ( normal, menu, repeat, repeat all, shuffle. )

While it does not give you a full control EQ - it does offer the major settings ( normal, Rock, Pop, Jazz, bass )

Formats Supported are MP3 OGG WMA WAV (PCM/ADPCM) - It also sports a high speed USB 2.0 interface for speedy copying of music or Ebooks.

And the Dimensions are 59mm×15mm×16mm, weight: 150 g. Super small and lightweight - so all you fitness nuts out there could clip this on and not expect it to fall off due to its weight.

The only thing not specified is battery life, I assume its got a Lithium Ion polymer batter like most of the competition - for safe bets I’d assume a 8 hour batter life tops before recharge.

Now for the best part of this beauty - its wonderful pricetag! - at these prices you could afford to get 2 or 3… heres the rundown.

1 Gig with FM radio $30.00
2 Gig with FM radio $42.57

1 Gig without FM radio $27.37
2 Gig without FM radio $40.53

Product page for all units is HERE

And at some point I’ll add a review - (my old mobi cube player broke and I need a new one - this fits my bill! )

Enjoy! - Rob

Mood Light Shower Radio

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

C57193.jpg

I know there are a lot of alternatives for listening to music in the shower, for instance there are speakers you can hang in the shower and connect to your mp3 player. To me this sounds like a recipe for disaster as the steam and moisture from your oh so hot cleanup will probably kill just about any mp3 player out there.

Those speakers don’t light up either.

With this gadget you can have your music and light up the shower a bit too.

Shaped like a computer mouse, the radio features a splash-proof body, a speaker with clear and crisp sound, and an easy hanging antenna. Also great for the outdoors and poolside parties. Available in Blue, Orange, and Green. Requires 3 AA batteries, batteries not included.

So in the morning you could listen to the news or your fav dj, and for that romantic evening tune in the some ambient music from pbs or such. Its self contained so no worries about steam. It probably won’t survive a fall into the bath though, so for that you might want to see my post on the radio bath tub rubber duck.

You can buy the mood light shower radio HERE for $17.95 - limited production so get ‘em while they last.

Twin Spin Lighted Speaker System

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

30532_04.jpg

Mezmerizing color combinations of green, purple, and blue rotate and revolve in a sound responsive light show with these interactive stereo speakers.

The LED lights dance with the music intonations and beats.

If you are allowed to play music in your office - now you can look super cool while doing so - it comes with its own power adapter and a standard speaker jack - so you could even hook these up to your pc.

Not too expensive at $39.95 - you can find a pair HERE

Friday Fun Gadget - The MP3 Guitar

Friday, August 31st, 2007

mp3guitarl.jpg

Its been a couple weeks since I found a gadget fun enough to put up for a Friday. This gadget qualifies nicely though. IT was featured on the Today show - and gets rave reviews from every buyer.

Full sized guitar - with 4 buttons on the fretboard to make playing a cinch for even a first timer. You can use it like a regular guitar - OR - hook it up to your mp3 / music player and play to your tunes! You can also have it play background rhythms so you can concentrate on the solo parts.

The pitch and tempo are adjustable for tuning to just about any song.

This is a great way to introduce a child to guitar - or heck just give the thing for the pure joy of playing. I gotta admit - even though my kid and I can play basic acoustic guitar - I’m thinking of getting this purely for its fun value.

Well, that and the excellent price - How could you go wrong for $27.96? Grab one at Discovery before they’re gone!

Using an interchangeable lens/mirror for different light patterns, the Lightcast has four mix modes: Smooth, flow, vibe and pulse, and includes an illuminated infrared wireless remote allowing you to create a psychedelic light show in any room for the ultimate visual experience.

The price is $104.46 US and £49.95 Euro - You can grab one HERE
