Remote Pet Feeding & Viewing Camera Kit

Friday, June 5th, 2009

6184ckbig

We can’t deny that with today’s lifestyle, pets are treated like actual human beings. So that even ideas like this actually make sense. There are pet-owners now who regard their dogs as their very own babies. I imagine they would want this pet feeder and viewing kit as a way to tend to their precious pets even while away and keep their minds at peace.

The remote pet feeder works with a remote controlled device that automatically takes care of dispensing food for your dogs. Pet owners may be able to access this remotely via computer and the internet.

How it works:

  • Designed for either cats or dogs over 15 pounds, this remarkable feeder can be programmed to dispense food up to eight times a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Food is delivered to the bowl over several minutes, using a slow-moving auger, which is totally pet safe, even if Fido sticks his tongue up the food chute! An additional stirring mechanism inside the storage container minimizes the possibility of clogs and jams. If your pet weighs under 15 pounds, this kit is also available with a small feeder. Each Autopetfeeder includes a dishwasher-safe bowl for easy cleaning and a 24-hour programmable timer with built-in battery backup. A non-chewable cord ensures pet safety.

Cordozt for Electric Cords

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

scaleddotz_poster1

These are really pretty accessories for your wires, cables and cords. You know, cords usually get tangled and form a disgusting octopus at the back of your furniture. But the cordotz is such a cute solution.

Each of this clip is color coded, so that with all the wires you have at the back of your computer table, you know which cord goes with what. It also has tiny icons, like lamps, radio, cords and the like… which probably works best for those who are color blind.

There are about 10 cordotz for this, and about 24 icons which you can punch in and out. And the best thing about it? It’s priced at a very affordable $9.99!

Check out cordotz on their official site.

Vintage Flash Camera Clock

Monday, February 16th, 2009

1

This is a functional art piece that would make a perfect gift for photography junkies or even antique collectors. I am sure they would love to have in the house. It is a really vintage flash camera that has already served its purpose and is now just going to be a pretty clock hanging on someone’s wall. It has that historical, whimsical charm to it. It is such a conversation piece too.

This clock is available at Uncommon Goods….and because it is antique and is a handmade item from Debra Dresler, it picks quite a price at $165.00.

NOTE: Requires 1 “AA” battery, included. Includes one, non functioning flash bulb.
SIZE: 8″ H x 8″ W x 6.5″ D

Eco-Friendly Air Conditioning From Fujitsu

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

fujitsu_nocria_TRLOh_1822

The very first eco-friendly air conditioning units from Fujitsu has been released in the market this February. There are four kinds of model to this home air conditioning system, each of it has been equipped with what they call a presence sensor.

The four types are:

  • nocria S
  • nocria Z
  • J series
  • R series

The nocria series are meant for living room use, while the remaining two are for smaller rooms and bedrooms.

The presence sensor allows the air conditioning to turn off at will if it can tell that there is no individual in the room. When it does not detect any activity, the unit will immediately turn off 10 minutes after detection and will remain shut down for three hours. Thus, this eliminates energy from constantly being burned and used. You cut on your bills and save on electricity.

Ecco: Hidden TV Panel

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

The Ecco Series is a different kind of flat panel that serves a decorative purpose but also doubles as a flat screen TV.

When not in use, the Ecco is a lovely painting on your bare walls. But once you hit the remote control, the art work disappears to reveal the television screen.

Priced at $1495 (starting price), the Ecco comes in four different frames —- black, cream, cherry and walnut. It also has two kinds of models, based on size — Ecco 42 and Ecco 50. Artwork displayed on it include 38 pieces of unique designs. You just have to choose one that fits right into your home for display.

Here is a short Se video of The Ecco Series so that you can understand the benefits of the product better:

Painted, Wall Mounted Eco-Heaters

Monday, February 9th, 2009

ecoheater

You don’t normally notice heaters at homes at all, right? They just sit there inconspicuously at the corner of the house or somewhere where your eyes don’t tend to draw towards it. As long as the room is warm, it works alright.

But Eco-heater has a way of making use of this idle thing in your home. Because the Eco-heater is flat and mounted, it takes up very little space, and allows for heat to distribute through the panels. The great thing about it though is that the heater may be easily painted with just about any art you want to have. So, not only does it give off heat, it makes for a really interesting wall decoration.

You get all this for only $119.00.

The Ornamental Phone from Anton Webb

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

phone_3_zVTZD_58

Now this one may be something that’s mistaken for a normal sculpture or a decorative ornament and I can’t blame you if you did because I wouldn’t also think of this as what it really is —- functioning telephone! Surprised?

Inspired from the Hosta, a type of the foliage plant, designer Anton Webb, reinvents the basic land line or home phone and offers a more aesthetic look for it. He calls this the Non Literal Phone. And more than a tool for communication, this does look like a very expensive decor in a modern apartment.

The design idea is a combination of practical use with beauty and art…Ad there you have it — a mantle piece that’s also functional.

We’re not quite sure if it’s up for sale though.

Swarovski-studded Vacuum Cleaner

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

swarovski-studded-ergorapido_kmmve_52_jqwpm_1822

Alright, maybe this isn’t for the average household… but you have to commend the ingenuity to it. Electrolux has collaborated with Lukasz Mistletoe, a famed celebrity designer, for this one. They call it the ErgoRapido vacuum cleaner and this version is  in Limited Edition Black and White, with 3730 Swarovski crystal studs.

You would think this one is on the heavy side, but the vacuum cleaner is actually lightweight and can perform quite well. The attractive design doesn’t inhibit any of its functionality…which also means, the design has actually no use except for aesthetics. The vacuum cleaner is the cordless type.

If there was a beauty contest for vacuum cleaners, this one should win. And well, it actually did garner two — Red Dot Design Award 2008 and IF Design Award 2008.

USB Powered LunchBox

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

USB-powered-lunch-box

Nothing picks up one’s appetite more than a set meal prepared deliciously warm. I love warm meals, it makes eating more palatable. But with packed lunches, warm meals aren’t entirely possible. Except if you own the USB powered lunchbox container.

This product comes from Japan (where else?) and it can keep food warm or toast grilled sandwiches for example, at 140 °F or 60 °C. The container has insulators that heat up when plugged into the USB. So…if there are no microwaves around and all you have is your computer with the USB port, then you can have hot meals anytime, anywhere you want with this container. Even your kids at school can enjoy their warm packed lunches.

It is pretty neat huh?

Electroman Surge Protector

Electroman-Surge-Protector

Well, it seems our cutest hub is getting a cool companion! But I would have preferred it female because that would have been cuter!

Its name is the Electroman. It has the ability to connect four sockets together, so you don’t have to worry about the lack of plug or outlets. The Electroman is controlled by a switch, so you don’t have to worry about power surges from too much connections in one socket. It lights up in the heart when this gadget is in use.

The Electroman is only 24″ in length.

It’s $24.95 at this site.
