500x375_AFdAo_1822

This is the latest from Philips in the area of their Home Theater line — the new  HSB2351 is this all in one, hi tech sound bar audiophiles will want to own. The sound bar has an integrated DVD player as well as MP3 linking for that complete audio and video experience. It is powered with subwoofer 300W strong. Speakers are Dolby classified and the gear is HDMI 1080p capable, with video upscaling.

The gear has USB flash drives, so it’s capable of reading USB media. A built in FM tuner is of course not lost on this, so you can also listen to the radio if so desired.

The design is obviously sleek. It’s a great space saver and one magnificent audio/video component in one.

Philips will have this available in the US by April 2009 and will sell for  US$349.99.

Well, aren’t these pretty!

These are flat cables from LaCie and it reminds me of a time when kids used to wear colored laces back in the 80’s. The flat cables are $10 each and you can purchase these here.

  • With the new LaCie Flat Cables designed by item, it’s easy to find the interface you need. Our new range includes seven different interfaces: USB A to B; USB A to Mini B; USB A male to A female; FireWire 400 to FireWire 400; FireWire 400 to FireWire 800; FireWire 800 to FireWire 800; and eSATA to eSATA. Each cable is perfect for connecting of your external devices, such as hard drives, CD/DVD writers, printers, cameras, and cell phones. The LaCie Flat Cables come in different colors according to their interfaces, and a fun, whimsical design by item, a French design firm, ensures that they’ll make a statement on your desktop. Since the cables are flat, they are easy to coil and to carry—you’ll never have to deal with another tangle of wires behind your desk or in your laptop bag! Each cable comes with 24 adhesive labels, so you can customize your cables and always know which device is plugged in.

Todays Gadget is one of those types of gadgets where simplicity is the dominating benefit.

We all ( well, a lot of us) have gadgets that charge via a USB jack. Cell Phones, Headsets, Cameras, Mp3 Players, etc….

some times its wasteful to be running a 400 watt desktop PC to charge a low voltage device. Then again sometimes your just not near a pc - or you dread the 15 minute boot process.

Here ya go - simple and cheap ( I expect they will be as heck - how much could you charge for them really? ) - These are to be released on November 28th - and when they do I’ll update the post with price and availability.
