Electroman Surge Protector

Electroman-Surge-Protector

Well, it seems our cutest hub is getting a cool companion! But I would have preferred it female because that would have been cuter!

Its name is the Electroman. It has the ability to connect four sockets together, so you don’t have to worry about the lack of plug or outlets. The Electroman is controlled by a switch, so you don’t have to worry about power surges from too much connections in one socket. It lights up in the heart when this gadget is in use.

The Electroman is only 24″ in length.

It’s $24.95 at this site.

The $0.99 Cellphones!

newsmy-c100-2

Don’t look now, but these are probably the cheapest cellphones you can find. So cheap, they only cost $0.99. And if these gadgets look like toys to you…it’s because it is! These are cellphones made for little girls.

But the thing is, these gadgets actually work!

The Newsmy C100 cellphone is a China-made gadget that is targeted for the youngest female market. What I said about the phone actually working is no joke. It comes with GSM 900/1800 MHz frequency bands, as well as an English and Chinese setting.

This handset includes the following features:

  • 1.5-inch TFT display with a resolution
  • 176 x 132 pixels
  • 65K colors
  • 100 phonebook entries for storage
  • 75 hours of talk time
  • 180 minutes in standby mode
  • Parental controls
  • Currency converter
  • Alarm clock and calculator
  • Call Waiting
  • Caller ID
  • Ring tone settings

You can pretty much tell from these features alone that it is really a practical buy for $0.99!

Newsmy C100 is also easy to carry, especially with little girly hands. The phone only weighs 48 grams and measures at 102 x 46 x 12 mm.

Now as for durability — that we don’t know. But obviously, this one should last your little girl’s whims, until the next time she decides you get her a new and better cellphone.

It is available for purchase at Light In The Box.

The Fitness Cube

visuetprix Fitness Cube

I think that a lot of us will be needing this after the holidays and festivities are over.

The Fitness Cube is an exercise machine that you may hide conspicuously next to your desk, at home or in the office. Unlike most gears and machines, you can hide this one conveniently away. It doesn’t become an eyesore…especially if you have those guests coming over your house this Christmas or New Year.

The design to this cube is ultra-compact and yet it offers a lot of variety in terms of exercises and keeping fit. The cube works to tone all muscles in your body, I reckon its effective as a Pilates or aerobics workout.

The box is made of high quality materials. It should be resistant to early wear and tear.

It’s usable anytime. There is no need to dismantle and reinstall every time you use it.

The box has been tested to work according to the standards set by the industry of fitness.

Sony PSP2 Underway? Nope, not yet.

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

pspx081217-02

What you’re looking is a fan made mock up of a Sony PSP 2 from PSP Fanboy. It looks really sleek doesn’t it? Rumors have it this one even has a USB camera capacity. While this gadget may look really awesome, apparently everything else that’s been going around the rumor mill? It’s not happening yet.

Early this week, rumors of a next generation Playstation Portable has been debunked by John Koller, Sony’s Director of Hardware Marketing. Mr. Koller has confirmed that there “are no PSP 2 underway”. Which is great because we’ve only been enjoying our portable gadget for only a year now…I wouldn’t want to save up for the new one just yet!

You can check for the complete press release from Sony here.

The Cutest USB Hub

af6e_usb_man_hub

I have been meaning to get myself a USB hub for Christmas. This is really on my wishlist but the ones I’ve been looking at in stores looks nothing as fun and as cute as this one.

This USB Man 4-port Hub, perhaps the cutest four ported hub ever, comes with an AC power adaptor in each connecter. When the hub is connected, that little green light indicator, likes up like a heart (See? It’s so cute!).

Unlike other USB hubs I’ve seen too, this one is pretty flat and won’t be obtrusive on my work desk…which makes it all the more perfect! This little guy actually reminds me of a Joe Bender. Only, I think I’m loving USB Man a lot more.

USB Man 4-port Hub Features:

* His hands and feet are USB ports, and his heart lights up to let you know he’s powered on.
* USB 2.0
* Includes: USB Man and AC adaptor
* Cord length: 45″
* Hub Dimensions: 4.5″ x 4″ x 1.75″

The Microsoft Arc Mouse

Microsoft Arc Mouse

The new Microsoft Arc Mouse may pose some design versus usability issues. It’s unique appearance, one that is built to fold in half may take some time to get used to. But those who have tried it swear on it’s usability. It functions just like any other mouse. It fits into the hand seamlessly, with grip intact.

The fold allows for the mouse to adapt some travel-friendly features because it makes the size so much more easier to store and pack, saving some bag space. The receiver to this mouse is wireless, so there is no worry about cords getting its wear and tear. The mouse doesn’t actually work while folded….this feature is really just for storing purposes.

The mouse also comes with a magnetic cradle at the tail portion, where the USB receiver is found.

The hinge that folds it is made of metal for that added durability.

There is also a battery indicator near the scroll wheel, so that you can be easily alerted when it is time to replace it.

Technical Details:

* Mouse folds to 60% of its fully expanded size
* Micro-transceiver snaps into the bottom of the mouse
* Folding motion turns mouse on/off
* Laser tracking for precision
* 2.4 GHz wireless with up to 30-foot range

Additional Features:

* 2.4 GHz wireless with up to 30-foot range
* Laser tracking
* 4 buttons
* Carrying case included

The Microsoft Arc Mouse is quite a practical buy for under $50 at Amazon or Best Buy or any other major retail computer outlet.
