Well, with summer coming this caught my attention. Makes everything from ice cream to sorbet. Three containers on it hold anything you want - sprinkles, bacon chips, you name it- just pull a lever and it adds whatever is in the containers.

Another great feature on this one is it’s price - started at $185.00 - and it’s now $99.00

You can get it from Everything Home

Jellephish Mood Lamp

Monday, March 26th, 2007

jellephishBlue.jpg
The Mood Lamp uses processor controlled digital LED technology to create an almost infinite palette of colours to satisfy your every mood. The Jellephish Mood Lamp is freestanding using the acrylic base supplied, or the dome can be independently mounted flush against a wall. There are 4 modes, set using the remote handset: Scrolling, Static, Sound to Light or Pearlescent

A little steep at $139.98 but I’m a fool for color shifting lights

Philips Baby Monitor

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

73762.jpg

This has to be the coolest baby monitor ever made - take a peek at some of its functions…

The baby monitor plays five different lullabies, has a nightlight function, and an integrated thermometer reads the ambient temperature in your child’s bedroom and displays the information on the parental handset and the baby monitor LCDs

It also encrypted and secure so no one can listen in - has a range of 150 feet and you can control the light and music functions from the handstet, so if baby wakes up, lullabye him or her back to sleep!

Certainly not cheap at $199.99

But some might say well worth the investment.

Firefly Mini R/C Helicopter

Monday, March 19th, 2007

firefly_copter.jpg

This thing is awesome, the wife bought me one for Christmas. While its not quite as easy as driving a RC car, with a little practice you’ll soon be terrorizing the entire household and scaring the family pets. About the only thing to consider is that its an inside only toy, even a slight breeze will disturb it. Aside from that though, I love this chopper - heck all guys love toys!

Grab it at Thinkgeek for $79.99 !

The watch that screams Pizza -don’t eat more!

Seriously tho this watch not only tells the time, it also tells you your body fat, body water, and Body Mass Index (BMI). It even recommends daily water and calorie consumption goals.

Looking stylish and full of body type knowledge - you do have to be within the ages of 10-99, but when your 103 who the heck cares about fat?

for a scant $49.95 you can pick this beauty up.yhst_74250281064654_1934_24634220.gif

Ear Check for Kids

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

I remember the stress of ear infections. The parents are never sure, you go to the doctor too often… or not enough. You never really know if its an ear infection or not.

This gadget looks to change all that - like an in ear thermometer, you put it up to the ear and it will tell you on a scale from 1 to 5 if your little one is likely to have an ear infection.

Good for kids from 6 months old to 14 years old.

earcheck.jpg

You can get it from the manufacturer for $49.95

Or find it at your local drugstore.

Neat looking speakers

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Alright - some of you are gonna say - 1.7 watt digital speakers, why? Well, these win me over purely by their look. I’d hide the mp3 player driving ‘em and set ‘em about playing soothing ambient sounds.

The price is a bit steep at $199.00 however they do come in black or white and are lit with a soft blue LED.

Hyperdog Ball Launcher

Monday, March 12th, 2007

If you’ve got a dog like mine, or dogs like mine…. Check out the tennis ball launcher. Reminds me of the old wrist rocket slingshots we used to terrorize the neighborhood with as kids.

Shoots balls up to 220 feet- just remember that standard tennis balls are not good for dogs as the nylon wears down their teeth eventually. So get dog friendly tennis balls ok?

hyperdog_2_ball_launcher.jpg

for $29.95 I think its an acceptably priced pet gadget
